HIM is accredited by the Swiss Hotel School Association (ASEH), an elite association of the top hotel schools in Switzerland, and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, USA (NEASC). HIM graduates are automatically eligible for membership into the Hotel Catering International Management Association (HCIMA) in Great Britain without having to write qualifying examinations.Athletic pursuits also provide an important balance. For this reason Hotel Institute Montreux organises seasonal excursions and activities such as ski weekends and has special arrangements with local sporting facilities.
